"The family index is important in life because with health the family can live a normal social and economic life in the midst of other communities," Yana said at the Health Service Performance Evaluation Meeting, at the Savoy Homman Hotel, Tuesday, July 26, 2022.

Please note, based on data from the Central Statistics Agency of West Java, the health index of Bandung City in 2021 is 83.78. This value has continued to increase since 2019 (83.29) and 2020 (83.51).

The health index of the city of Bandung is also still above the health index of the province of West Java in 2021, which is 81.89.

"I hope that the family health index is taken into account, such as stunting and so on. Therefore, our concentration should not only be limited to the Covid-19 pandemic, there are still many health needs that need attention," said Yana.

Yana admits that increasing the health index is one of her political promises. That is to provide services to the community.

"That is included in my political promise in the health sector. Our concentration is in providing the best fair service," Yana explained.

"In 2023 there are 4 health centers that we will rehabilitate more appropriately. For 2022 there is also a change (budget) there is also light rehabilitation. For us, the face of the city in the Bandung City Government provides the best service to the community," he said.

In addition, he also pushed for the acceleration of vaccination to attention to non-communicable diseases.

"Acceleration of vaccines is also important. I hope to pay attention to other non-communicable diseases. Such as diarrhea, high blood pressure and dengue fever, everyone must pay attention to," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Bandung City Health Office, Ahyani Raksanagara explained, one of the visions of the City of Bandung is related to health.

"This is related to health is to build a humanist, religious, quality and competitive society," he said.

He added that the aim of the city of Bandung related to the health sector is to build an independent Bandung city community.

With the guarantee of fair and equitable quality health education based on religious and cultural values, the indicator of the goal to be achieved is the human development index.

"The target of the city of Bandung related to the health sector is to increase the degree of public health with the target indicator being life expectancy," he explained.

"The goal is to increase the level of public health with the aim of increasing the quality of a healthy environment, healthy culture and quality of health services," said Ahyani.

He revealed, in improving health status, it is still necessary to pay attention to 3 determinants that need intervention, namely behavior, service, and empowerment.

"The main indicators in the Health Office's targets are maternal mortality, infant mortality, health index, percentage of under-fives with malnutrition, coverage of healthy homes, coverage of control of communicable and non-communicable diseases, and good category of public service index," he said.
