In response to this, the Bandung City Government (Pemkot) is currently compiling technical guidelines (juknis) in accordance with the existing regimen and logistics. This was conveyed by the Head of Disease Prevention and Control at the Bandung City Health Office (Dinkes), dr. Ira Dewi Jani, Tuesday, August 2, 2022.

Ira said, in the latest circular, regulations regarding the provision of booster 2 for health workers (nakes) must look at the vaccine used during booster 1 or vaccine dose III.

"That means we have to cross-check the logistics. We also need to figure out how to implement it because at the same time we are also pursuing the target of vaccine dose 3 and this month there is also the implementation of the National Child Immunization Month (BIAN)," said Ira.

For the number of health workers in the city of Bandung, he said there are around 24,000 health workers who will be the target of booster 2 or IV dose vaccines.

It took a long process to run the booster 2 vaccine program. Because, if you refer to the circular from the Director General of P2P, the booster 2 vaccine can only be done 6 months after the 3 or booster 1 vaccine.

"The health workers can first check at Pedulilindungi whether there is an e-ticket or not for booster 2. Then see what type of vaccine dose III was used yesterday," he said.

"In the past, health workers received the Moderna vaccine, yes. It means that the IV dose will use Moderna again, but half the dose. It's like that, for example," added Ira.

Although it is possible that several health facilities (faskes) in other locations around the city of Bandung may first carry out booster 2 vaccinations for their health workers.

"But if there are other health facilities, for example from the TNI or Polri that have started to implement this IV dose of vaccine, that's okay. It can still be done. However, we are still preparing for the implementation of the Health Office," he said. (din)**
