However, there are several conditions that must be met by vehicle owners, including the obligation to have a STNK, KTP, BPKB, proof of a physical vehicle check and for annual tax payments.

Head of Regional Revenue Management Center for the City of Bandung III Soekarno Hatta, Ida Hamidah said that the motor vehicle tax whitening program has five benefits that can be felt by the community.

"Free of fines, free of fifth arrears, free of transfer fees for the second motor vehicle (second), discount on tax payments, and discount on BBNKB I," said Ida after the Bandung Answering event, Wednesday, August 3, 2022.

He explained, if in one month before the due date the community has taken advantage of their tax payments, then they can get a 2 percent discount. If it has been paid within two months before the due date, it will get a 4 percent discount.

Meanwhile, within six months before the due date, residents can get a 10 percent discount.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Regional Revenue Management Center (PPPD) for the City of Bandung II Kawaluyaan, Ade Sukalsah said, the overall target that is expected to be collected from the PKB tax in the City of Bandung is IDR 1.3 trillion.

"This target was lowered through three Samsat, namely West Bandung or Pajajaran, the target is IDR 473 billion. Then, the area of Central Bandung or Kawaluyaan is Rp. 479 billion. Meanwhile, East Bandung is targeted to get Rp437 billion. So that the total city of Bandung is around Rp. 1.3 trillion, "said Ade.

Until the end of July, Ade admitted that the achievement of the PKB tax was still within the limit. He is optimistic that by the end of August this program will be successful in Bandung.

This is because, when compared to other cities/regencies in West Java, the residents of Bandung City have a relatively low rate of tax arrears.

“The city of Bandung, when compared to other cities/regencies, has the highest level of obedience. For example, with equivalents such as Bekasi City, Bekasi Regency, Bogor Regency, Bandung City are at the top in obeying vehicle tax payments," he said.

He said, there are about 1.7 million vehicles that are required to pay taxes in the city of Bandung. So Ade emphasized that the public could take advantage of this whitening momentum as much as possible.

“Even though this program has been running for a month, we want to remind the public not to miss it because after this it will return with the same system and cost. Please make good use of it," he urged. (din)**
