Bandung City Anniversary (HJKB) 2022 will begin to be celebrated in several locations. Through the tagline “Bangkit Bersama for Bandung Champion”, it is hoped that the City of Bandung is ready to fight to recover the economy in the midst of a pandemic for the welfare of its citizens.

This was conveyed by the Head of the Cultural and Arts Product Division of the Bandung City Culture and Tourism Office (Disbudpar), Ratnarahayu Pitriyati after the Bandung Answering event, Wednesday, August 3, 2022.

“We are identifying what the community, the community, the mass media will do. So that later the enthusiasm of the people of Bandung City to enliven the HJKB will not only focus on the government, but will also become a massive movement throughout the city of Bandung, "said Ratna.

He said, there are already several activities that will also start this week as a series of HJKB events. While the highlight of the event will be held on September 25 at City Hall.

“Starting with a grave pilgrimage on D-2, a flag ceremony to commemorate HJKB. Before the ceremony, there is usually a plenary meeting with the council. Then later we will wait for the direction from the leadership for the peak night," he said.

One of the series that is currently running is the Join Promotion. There are several talents who will market Bandung City with a mission to ngareuah-reuah or enliven HJKB.

"Next week we will also coordinate with several communities that have their own activities and we will use them to join HJKB activities," he said.

Then, this year the Creative Market was also held again. Currently, the Creative Market is taking place at Paskal 23. As for the peak night event at last year's HJKB, a wayang golek performance was held.

“But for this year we will focus on traditional arts. For the details of what the event will be like, we are still waiting for directions from the leadership," he said.

"Hopefully it can be carried out offline to make it more exciting. More people will also participate, so it will be more lively," he added.

Ratna explained, a concrete form of economic recovery through this HJKB, the Bandung City Government (Pemkot) is initiating collaboration with malls, communities, so that the artist's expression space is starting to be encouraged again. Its influence will attract public attention, so it can increase the number of tourist visits.

“Bandung is famous for its creative city, arts and culture, and the number of tourist visits in the city of Bandung is extraordinary. If tourist visits increase, God willing, our economy will gradually recover. The welfare of the community will also increase," he said.

He added, when viewed from hotel occupancy, the city of Bandung has experienced an increase of around 50-70 percent, especially during the children's school holidays last July.

"It turns out that even though our tourism potential is in the next district, thank God, tourists prefer to stay in the city of Bandung," he said.

Meanwhile, the Sub-coordinator of the Promotion of Cultural and Arts Products at the Bandung City Department of Culture and Tourism, Hendi Rohendi, said that at this year's HJKB, the Bandung City Government will also intensify the promotion of halal tourism for tourists.
