Great Bandung, Indonesian Anniversary Series and HJKB attended
In commemoration of the 77th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia as well as the 212th Anniversary of the City of Bandung (HJKB), the Bandung City Government (Pemkot) will organize various activities. One of them is Great Bandung.
"Great Bandung is a movement that hopes to support the Bandung City Government program. This activity is actually a process of gratitude for the church community in the city of Bandung," explained the General Chair of Great Bandung, Jon at Bandung City Hall, Monday 8 August 2022.
He added, as for the planned series of Great Bandung activities, including the Bandung Cleanup on August 13, 2022, namely in the Bandung Square area, Merdeka Building, Braga Street and Bandung City Hall.
"There will also be a cleaning activity on September 17, 2022 in the Tegalega Field area. This activity is a commemoration of World Cleanup Day (WCD)," he said.
While the bazaar activity is that people bring garbage and can exchange it for vouchers that can be spent. Starting from basic needs and other goods such as clothes, shoes and bags.
"Its name is Bazaar Pay With Trash, which will be held on September 23-24 2022, planned to be located at Taman Dewi Sartika," he said.
"This activity is in collaboration with Yomart. Payments using waste are converted and exchanged for shopping coupons. This also supports the Kang Pisman program," he said.
In addition, there is a vaccination event as well as a health check in collaboration with the City Hall Health Center UPT, located at Taman Dewi Sartika on September 23, 2022 and for a health check on September 24, 2022.
"This supports the acceleration of vaccination in the city of Bandung. We hold it from vaccine 1 to vaccine 3 or booster," he explained.
There are also a number of competitions that the community can participate in at the regional level, namely One Million Red and White for My Country.
"A video-making competition with a maximum duration of 5 minutes, later the judging will be carried out by the relevant OPD from Disbudpar as well as a team from Great Bandung," he said.
Responding to this, the Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana appreciated the activity. The reason is that this activity is part of a series of Indonesian Independence Day and HJKB.
