Iis and Budi Become the First Clients to Get Married at a Public Service Mall
Tuesday, August 23, 2022 was a special moment for Iis and Budi. They tied the knot at the Public Service Mall (MPP) Jalan Cianjur, Bandung City.
Even though it looks simple, this sacred moment still takes place solemnly. The calm music and pink rose ornaments added to the solemn atmosphere of their wedding.
"Because this is a rare moment, so we put forward the wedding schedule. It was originally planned for November, but it was moved to August," said Iis Maryani, the bride.
She learned this information from her husband who works at the Fire Department (Damkar). Although some facilities for the reception have not been provided by MPP, but for Iis, this is enough for him.
"The reception service provided by MPP has only just been launched so far. So, it is not as complete as what was conveyed at the beginning. So I understand. But, I think this is enough," he admitted.
There are no fees set for holding a wedding reception at MPP, aka free. The groom, Budi S. Parma hopes that in the future MPP will provide more complete reception service facilities.
"Earlier I got the information, in the future there will be decorations, clothes fittings, makeup, and catering, all complete. So that it can be used for the poor," explained Budi.
The wedding reception at MPP was held from 08.00-12.00 WIB. Budi admitted that he only invited about 100 people to his wedding.
"Music is also not too euphoric because this is actually a work environment. So it must be adjusted," he said.
He hopes that the Bandung City MPP can further develop and innovate through comparative studies to the better Jakarta MPP.
Meanwhile, the Religious Counselor of the Bandung City KUA, RA. Kudus explained that if the prospective bride and groom want to use MPP as a reception location, there are several requirements that must be met.
"Make a cover letter for RT RW. Then later you will get a letter from the kelurahan level. Registration must be online," said Kudus.
"The data that must be filled in are birth certificates, ID cards, and family cards. After that, the data will only be entered into the MPP," he added.
Then, the next step is to make a schedule. Implementers of marriage need to be arranged so that they do not overlap with each other.
"The implementation here in a day there are 3-4 people who consult at KUA MPP. It is adjusted to the existing staff. We also invite the Head of KUA to be the head of the village," he said. (din)**
