To appreciate the struggle of these athletes, a traveling convoy was carried out on Monday, August 29, 2022, starting at 08.00 WIB. Starting from GOR Pajajaran ending at Bandung City Hall.

When welcoming the arrival of the NPCI athletes, the Regional Secretary, Ema Sumarna conveyed her feelings of emotion for the struggle and hard work of the athletes to make the name of the nation and city proud.

"We came out as the overall champion of the 2022 ASEAN Para Games. Of the 175 gold, 144 silver, and 106 bronze medals that Indonesia has won, Bandung City athletes contributed 15 gold, 9 silver, 7 bronze," said Ema.

According to him, this shows that Bandung City athletes are able to contribute gold medals well for West Java, as much as 25 percent. So it is very appropriate if the Bandung City Government (Pemkot) gives appreciation to the athletes through various efforts.

He also hopes that in the upcoming competition, Bandung City athletes will always be enthusiastic and be able to achieve what we want. As well as being able to inspire the community not to make boundaries as an obstacle to continue to excel.

"Citizens and certain groups are not an obstacle to achievement. The leaders of the City of Bandung will always support. If you look at the achievements achieved, this is extraordinary," he said.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Bandung City NPCI, Adik Fahrozi, said that in the near future his party will prepare athletes for training and education to bring Bandung City to the Regional Paralympic Week (Peparda) in Bekasi Regency in November.

"Sisters (athletes) will always be enthusiastic and achieve. Because the Bandung City NPCI athletes are a barometer of NPCI throughout Indonesia," said Adik.

He also advised the Bandung City NPCI athletes to continue to echo their jargon in every match: Train the weak, continue the broken.

"Don't count the bodies you lost, but count how many you have left," he continued.

On this occasion, the General Secretary of NPCI West Java, Agung Fajar Bayu Ajie, was also present. He really appreciated the Bandung City contingent who had contributed to elevating the status of the city and province.

"If you want to see how the government in a city supports people with disabilities, you can see how far the achievements of the NPCI athletes in the area are. And the city of Bandung has proven the achievements of their NPCI athletes," said Agung.

He hopes that the Bandung City NPCI will be able to prove its fangs again at the Peparda of Bekasi Regency on November 26 to December 3 next. (din)*"
