Bandung-Fort Worth Texas Strengthens Twin Cities Collaboration

The Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana, said that the good relationship between the City of Bandung and the City of Fort Worth has been very good for a long time.

During the meeting, the City Government of Bandung and the City of Fort Worth explored cooperation in the culinary fields of Bandung City, such as coffee, as well as handicraft products.

"We can work together to open outlets for our local potential products such as culinary and Kraft, we can open outlets there (Fort Worth)," said Yana.

Yana hopes that this Sister City collaboration can provide concrete benefits for the people of both cities.

"Hopefully, with good collaboration and cooperation in the strategic sector, Bandung can enter the market to get a target market in Fort Worth," he said.

Meanwhile, Assistant Director, General Services, Property Management Department, City of Fort Worth, Alan Shuror said that Fort Worth's arrival to Bandung was intended to re-establish continued cooperation.

Regarding the exploration of culinary and craft cooperation that Bandung City wants, he admitted that he will continue to try to help marketing local products in Bandung.

"We really welcome it. This is one of the essence of sister cities, we will connect directly with business people there, we can coordinate further through online," he said.

In addition, later delegations from both parties will be formed to formulate various opportunities for cooperation in other fields such as research, education and economics.

"We form teams or delegations to meet face to face, see the city and its potential directly and can accelerate cooperation," he said.

To note, the relationship between the City of Bandung and Fort Worth Texas, United States has been established since April 2, 1990.

A number of collaborations that have been running include medical equipment assistance, training for firefighters, youth exchanges (International Leadership Academy) in which the City of Bandung always participates in sending young seeds, sister schools, and other strategic programs. (rob)**
