Celebrating HJKB, 1,100 Bandung Residents Fun Walk Around the City
After two years of the pandemic hitting and stopping all major activities, now the citizens of Bandung have risen again, meeting each other in the Lemonia Fun Walk activity, Sunday, September 11, 2022.
This activity is one of the various series of events for the 212th Anniversary of the City of Bandung (HJKB). The excitement was felt when the opening of the Fun Walk began.
Some came with their families with children, some even wore various interesting costumes.
Some use caping with tassels from Lemonia biscuits. Some become green fairies, some become super heroes. The total participants who took part in this event totaled 1,100 people.
This activity was officially opened by the Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana. He conveyed, based on existing indicators, the pandemic in the city of Bandung was relatively under control.
"All of this is thanks to the vaccinations that we do together. Hopefully with this activity, our immunity will increase and we will be healthy," said Yana.
Exactly at 06.19 WIB from Jalan Soekarno, all participants started leaving for the predetermined route.
The routes followed by the participants included Jalan Asia Afrika-Otista-Tegalega-Sri Baduga-Moh Toha-ITC Kebon Kelapa-Kepatihan-Glass Glass Wetan- and ended on Jalan Soekarno again.
Participants wearing costumes will take part in the Lemonia Parade Fashion Show at 08.00 WIB.
In addition, the participants can also compete for the grand prize cash with a total of IDR 50 million. (din)**
