Thousands of Residents Take to the Streets in Bandung Cleansing Volume 4
Thousands of Bandung City residents took to the streets in the Clean Bandung event Volume 4, Saturday 17 September 2022. They are spread over 30 sub-districts and 151 urban villages throughout the city of Bandung.
The Bandung Cleaning Activity Volume 4 was centered in Bandung City Square and led by the Regional Secretary of the City of Bandung, Ema Sumarna.
Ema said this activity was part of the effort to fill the 212th Anniversary series of Bandung City.
“We want to see the city of Bandung much better than yesterday. Prepare for the future and forever with clean and beautiful orderly corridors," said Ema.
Clean Bandung Volume 4 was filled with cleaning activities for roads, drainage, and also parts of buildings from vandalism.
Ema said, this event received attention from various levels of society. More specifically, this event was attended by members of the West Java Provincial DPRD, represented by Harris Bobihoe.
"We have also symbolically provided paint assistance to support the operations of our friends in cleaning and painting in the field," he said.
"Including, there will also be a movement to clean up all shelters in the city of Bandung. We will improve the handling of waste in the market," explained Ema.
In closing, Ema hopes that Bandung Cleansing will not stop as a celebration event.
But it can also continue to be a continuous activity to make the city of Bandung much better.
"Hopefully this can be a momentum that we can take advantage of. Today must be much better than yesterday," he hoped. (ray)**
