Ema: Beware of Fraud Regarding Employee Status

The Bandung City Government (Pemkot) continues to prepare steps related to the elimination of honorary workers according to the central government's plan. For that matter, the Bandung City Government is currently validating the existing employees.

"We are continuing to validate the data. There should not be a sudden new employee. Because now there is an issue that non ASN (State Civil Apparatus) employees automatically become ASN," explained Bandung City Regional Secretary, Ema Sumarna at Bandung City Hall, Monday 19 September 2022.

For that, continued Ema, it was feared that there would be allegations of fraud to take advantage of this moment.

"It is feared by people who have intentions. It could be cashed, cheated and so on," he said.

Thus, Ema will make a circular which will be distributed to every Regional Apparatus Organization (OPD). This is so that all parties are aware of fraud.

"We are issuing circulars to all OPD heads telling non ASN employees, don't believe it, don't be tempted by misleading information," he said.

For that too, Ema stated, the Bandung City Government is preparing the best for honorary employees.

"Later, they can qualify for the outsourcing category. They only have different names. They get opportunities, income as they receive. Through third parties, say drivers, security or office boys," he explained.

"We are thinking about whether there is a third party to accommodate human resources for road traffic, such as PHL (Employee Daily Lepas) at the Transportation Agency, as well as at Satpol PP regarding law enforcement, usually this opportunity is captured by the service," added Ema.

He revealed that there are currently 18,257 non-civil servants in the Bandung City Government.

"That's with teaching staff, namely educators. At most in the Disdik (Education Office) there are almost 11,000 people. There are also many park employees in DPKP, Dishub Satpol PP, Setwan too many," he explained. (yes)**
