Fly Over Kopo 100 Percent Completed, Wednesday Night Ready for Function Test
The construction of the Kopo fly over has been 100 percent completed and will now enter the functional feasibility test phase before it is officially opened. This function-worthy test stage is to ensure the feasibility and safety of the flyover construction before it is later opened for public crossing.
The PUPR Ministry in its official statement said that the 1.3 kilometer flyover will be functionally tested on Wednesday 21 September 2022 at 24.00 WIB or Thursday 22 September 2022 at 00.00 WIB.
"After being declared safe and everything has been tidied up, then a traffic test (open traffic) is carried out including the completeness of the markings and signs," said Endra S. Atmawidjadja as Expert Staff of the Minister of PUPR for Technology, Industry and Environment.
He added, currently being carried out the process of outreach to the community.
Furthermore, during the functional feasibility test phase, the vehicles that are allowed to pass are two-wheeled vehicles and passenger cars, including heavy vehicles with restrictions.
In addition, vehicles are not allowed to stop and park on flyovers and drivers are required to maintain cleanliness and order in the flyover area.
To note, the Kopo fly over will stretch along Jalan Soekarno Hatta, Bandung City.
The fly over stretches from before the Cibaduyut - Soekarno Hatta intersection (Leuwi Panjang Terminal area) and ends after the Kopo - Soekarno Hatta intersection.(ray)**
