Bandung City Celebrates 212th Birthday by Sharing for Others

The Bandung City Government (Pemkot) held the Bandung Sharing event as a series of the 212th anniversary of the City of Bandung (HJKB), Friday, September 23, 2022.

This event was held at the Bandung Mayor's Hall and targeted 2,655 beneficiaries.

Thousands of food packages were distributed to beneficiaries consisting of orphans and orphanages in Bandung.

To note, in addition to the 2,655 aid packages, the regional elements of the City of Bandung also distributed 5,759 food packages simultaneously.

Bandung City Secretary Ema Sumarna in her speech invited all the people of Bandung to celebrate the anniversary of Bandung by sharing and praying for the good of this city.

“Yesterday, we have been running Bandung Cleansing, now Bandung Sharing. This activity should not only be held in the context of HJKB, but must be a positive culture in the city of Bandung,” he said.

He hopes that the assistance from the Bandung City Government can be channeled and the benefits will be felt by the beneficiaries.

Nevertheless, Ema reminded all people of Bandung City to maintain health protocols. The reason is, currently the Covid-19 pandemic in the city of Bandung has not ended.

“Even though our BOR (Bed Occupation Rate) and positivity rate are low, the pandemic still exists. Let's take care of each other by tightening the health protocols," he said.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Bandung City DPRD, Tedy Rusmawan, appreciated the series of events for the 212th birthday of the City of Bandung.

He thanked all staff who had become collaborators in the Bandung Sharing event. Also generally to all collaborators of the 2022 HJKB series.
