Ema: Cleaning Bandung Must Be Once a Week at the Regional Level

The Regional Secretary of the City of Bandung, Ema Sumarna reminded all levels of society to maintain the cleanliness and beauty of the city.

He also asked for the Clean Bandung movement to continue every week at the regional level.

“Bandung is a service city. That way, we must take care of its cleanliness and beauty. So that tourists who come here have a pleasant impression," he ordered while visiting the Babakan Siliwangi Forest, Bandung, Friday, October 7, 2022.

Ema also advised the regional authorities to coordinate and cooperate with relevant agencies to hold the Bandung Cleansing movement once a week.

“This movement must be managed by regional parties. Please coordinate with the strategic department," he ordered.

Ema also reminded that every violator of order and destroying the beauty of the city such as vandalism must be prosecuted.

To protect public facilities from vandals, he reminded the regional authorities to open their eyes and ears in maintaining the beauty of the city.

“We build cities with people's money. If there is any damage, then the legal process will be carried out immediately,” he said.

In addition to reviewing facilities in the city center, Ema accompanied by OPD ranks at the Bandung City Government also visited almost all points in the city of Bandung.

The survey includes Cihampelas Street, Cicendo Street, Otista Street, along Sudirman Street, Peta Street, BKR Street, Laswi Street, Ahmad Yani Street (Cicadas), Ibrahim Adjie Street, Soekarno Hatta Street, Gedebage - Cibiru area, then Jalan A.H. Nasution, then returned to the City Hall.

At several points where there are street vendors, Ema reminded traders to sell according to regulations and also keep the city clean.
