37 Years Laid, Andri Receives Medical Fees from the City Government and Baznas of Bandung City
After providing basic food assistance to the elderly and needy in Wates Village, Bandung Kidul District, Head of TP PKK Bandung City, Yunimar Mulyana visited a person with a disability.
His name is Andri Efendi. For 37 years of his life, Andri could only lie on the floor
Andri is the youngest of four siblings. Despite his shortcomings, his parents' love continued to flow to Andri.
"If we can sit, we also want to have a wheelchair for Andri. Yes, you have to be patient, maybe this is his fate," said Juhariah, Andri's mother, to Public Relations of Bandung City, Monday, October 10, 2022.
Since he was a baby, Andri has never received qualified medical treatment. All simple efforts can only be done at home.
"Once we took him to Rancabadak. The doctor said Andri had inflammation of the brain. He was given medicine, but there was no change," he said.
The same thing was conveyed by his father, Ikip Efendi. He said, since the birth of his son has been like this. No development whatsoever.
"Can't leave the house, it's just like this," said Ikip.
To fulfill Andri's needs and treatment, Ikip works as a garbage collector. He felt very grateful for the many people who helped and prayed for Andri.
Usually, those who routinely distribute aid are the kelurahan and puskesmas. As for the city government, this was the first time he was visited directly by the wife of the Mayor of Bandung.
"Thank you, Mrs. Wali and all other officials who have helped. We also often receive rice assistance. Thank God we received BLT yesterday," he admitted.
During his visit, Yunimar and Baznas distributed health care assistance to Andri in the amount of IDR 5 million.
"Hopefully this assistance can ease the burden on Andri and his family," Yunimar hoped.
"We support Baznas activities. Hopefully in the future we can help more," he added. (din)**
