Collaboration between the City Government and Husein Airport to Encourage Tourism in the City of Bandung
The Bandung City Government (Pemkot) is committed to increasing comfort for tourists who come to the city of Bandung through the airport.
This was discussed by the Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana when receiving an audience from the Executive General Manager Husein Sastranegara R. Indra Crisna at City Hall, Monday, October 17, 2022.
Inspired by the atmosphere in Bali, Yana hopes that in the future Husein Sastranegara Airport can present a distinctive atmosphere of the city of Bandung. It is intended that tourists who come to the city of Bandung have a strong memory to return to the city of Bandung.
"When we go to Bali, the atmosphere is unique. I hope it's the same in Bandung. There is a peculiarity that makes people say, 'Wow, here we are in Bandung,'" Yana said.
He also informed that the Bandung City Government had submitted a letter for the opening of international flights to the Ministry of Transportation, the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment, and BNPB.
Meanwhile, Executive General Manager Husein Sastranegara R. Indra Crisna positively welcomed the ideas in the discussion.
He also said that Husein Sastranegara Airport has 59 flight routes. However, only 14 routes are occupied.
"When the traffic demand is good, we will make efficiency in our flight hours," he said.
Regarding flight requirements, Indra said that currently prospective passengers can use airplane services if they have been vaccinated with the first dose of booster.
"The airport has also prepared a place (booster vaccination) if there are passengers who have not been vaccinated with the booster, we can immediately do it at the airport," he said.
After this hearing, Husein Sastanegara Airport held a follow-up meeting with the OPD at the Bandung City Government to discuss more technically related to convenience and optimizing services at the airport.
These optimizations include comfort and beauty, activation, and transportation services in the city to increase the attractiveness of Bandung City as a paradise for tourist destinations. (ray)**
