Improving ZIS Services, Bandung City Government Facilitates New Baznas . Office
Zakat, infaq, and alms (ZIS) services are expanding with the presence of the new Bandung City Baznas office at Jalan Pelajar Pejuang 45 No.10. This office is a facility provided by the Bandung City Government (Pemkot) to the National Amil Zakat Agency (Baznas).
The Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana hopes that Baznas can maximize the potential of ZIS through the new office.
"Because the potential for ZIS in Bandung City is very large. Trust is an important thing to achieve this potential. Hopefully this facility from the Bandung City Government can be one of the supporters," Yana hoped, Wednesday, October 26, 2022.
He also said that the Bandung City Baznas had conducted an external audit and obtained the WTP predicate. The service has also used digitalization, so that fundraising is more transparent and in real time.
"If there are residents who submit any assistance, it can be seen in the application how far the process has gone. So that muzaki can believe the money has been conveyed properly," he said.
Meanwhile, Head of Bandung City Baznas, Akhmad Roziqin explained, although Baznas has moved location to Jalan Pelajar Pejuang 45, ZIS services can still be accessed at the old office basement of Al Ukhuwah Mosque.
"Baznas Kota Bandung continues to provide services on Jalan Wastukancana (Masjid Al Ukhuwah) and Pelajar Pejuang 45. According to regulations, we must stand independently. Previously ZIS service was on the 3rd floor. Then moved here because transportation access is easier for muzaki and mustahik "explained Ahmad.
Some of the activity program assistance that has been distributed by the Bandung City Baznas from January-October 2022, among others, is educational program assistance to 459 beneficiaries.
Health assistance as many as 830 people. Then, religious programs for 5,410 people.
"There are also social and humanitarian programs for 39,738 beneficiaries. And economic assistance or business capital for 605 people. The total is 47,042 beneficiaries," he said.
He added, on this occasion, Baznas also collaborated with the Bandung City Population Control and Family Planning Agency (DPPKB) to socialize the Stunting Child Fostering Father/Mother program (BAAS).
"We also have BAAS inauguration, free medical treatment and distribution of basic necessities, as well as bazaar services," he said.
The Head of the Baznas of West Java Province, Anang Jauharudin, said the same thing. He admitted that the Bandung City Baznas is one of the leading zakat institutions in West Java.
"In the third year, BAZNAS Bandung City has received ISO 9001 2015," said Anang.
However, he advised not to be too euphoric with the new facilities and conveniences that have been supported by the Bandung City Government.
