"I hope the election organizers can carry out the democratic party smoothly and safely," Yana said at the inauguration of members of the Panwaslu Sub-district in Bandung City, at Clove Garden, Thursday, October 27, 2022.

He hopes that the formation of the sub-district Panwaslu will be able to increase public participation during the election later. Even in the next election year, many young people will become novice voters.

"So the 2024 novice voters will be big, so of course the appreciation of the KPU and Bawaslu must be carried out to increase participation so that it can still be high. I hope it is above 80 percent (participation rate)," he said.

Regarding the hoax news, Yana said, to prevent this, the committee was able to provide an understanding of the importance of elections.

"Election organizers must collaborate with regional ranks, preventing hoaxes so as not to reduce voter interest so as not to affect the level of participation. It must encourage understanding how important 1 vote means," Yana asked.

He said that Panwaslu had a big responsibility in the success of holding the simultaneous elections in 2024.

"I hope that I can carry out my mandate in a professional, honest and law-abiding manner so that the elections in Bandung City in 2024 will be fair, safe, smooth and of high quality," he said.

"I also hope that Panwaslu builds good cooperation with all parties in order to support the performance of the Panwaslu institution in overseeing all stages of the 2024 election. In carrying out this supervision, it must be able to build intensive communication with all relevant agencies," he added.

He also appealed to Panwaslu not to be afraid of any threats and to work wholeheartedly without taking sides with anyone, except for the applicable law.

"I am sure that the election in Bandung will take place safely and successfully as was the success of the general election some time ago. I also believe that the people of Bandung are mature in politics to organize a better democracy in the city of Bandung," he explained.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Bandung City Bawaslu, Zacky Muhammad Zamzam, said that Bawaslu is also responsible for making the election process safe and comfortable.

According to Zacky, holding elections is not only passive voters, but the community also contributes to keeping the elections conducive.

"Because in the election, they are not only passive voters, they only come to polling stations on February 14, 2024. The community can actively contribute to keeping this election running conducive according to the applicable laws," he said.

This time the inauguration was carried out by all sub-districts in the city of Bandung, which consisted of 90 members.

"Of course, of the 491 registrants who volunteered to become members of the Panwascam, these 90 (elected) people can be trusted to carry out their respective duties and responsibilities to oversee the election," he said. (yes)**
