Moreover, if you look at the potential of youth from Dispora data, as many as 22 percent of the population of Bandung City are youths aged 16-30 years.

"Wednesday, October 26, we have carried out the Youth Stage activity to reflect the meaning of the struggle for the Youth Pledge which is associated with the present era. We adjusted it with the theme of Bandung becoming more champions," explained the Head of Youth Development for the Bandung City Dispora, Dadang Setiawan to Bandung City Public Relations, Thursday October 27, 2022.

A total of 97 community and youth organizations (OKP) attended this event. Not only that, another innovation activity held by Dispora is the Youth Worth District.

This innovation aims to motivate sub-districts and youth in the region to be more dynamic in synergizing between components.

"This selection was carried out a month ago. The goal is for youth in the region to have a more dynamic synergy between the private government, the community and the youth," he explained.

The announcement of the night of grace will be held on Friday, October 28, 2022 tomorrow.

Some of the indicators that will be assessed include government and regional concerns, synergy, infrastructure utilization, and youth activities.

"There must be development and empowerment as well as awareness in youth activities. This innovation is the subject of the assessment," he said.

To develop youth activity innovations, youth organizations are facilitated in KNPI activities. Through KNPI, all youth organizations gather in the same forum.

"At the regional level, there are also many innovation activities for youth awareness and empowerment," he said.

Even though this program was held for the first time, the Youth Worthy Subdistrict program, he hopes to bridge youths to discuss and optimize the facilities provided by the Bandung City Government, such as Youthspace.

"For the use of Youthspace, there are only 18. This year we will complete up to 30 sub-districts. Indeed, its use is not too optimal. Hopefully one of the activations is through the Youth-worthy District," he added.

Although he admits, the digitalization era is a challenge in itself in maintaining the potential of the youth. Because, the rush of good and bad information can potentially destroy youth human resources

"Youth must be able to filter before sharing. We must be aware of the ease of access to information, both positive and negative. We must not let the potential of youth human resources be easily destroyed in our hands," he said.

Therefore, he appealed to the youth of the city of Bandung to unite and rise to build the city of Bandung starting from the smallest environment.

"Please activate youth activities in all small areas of Bandung City so that they are more dynamic, have competence, and are able to be competitive in facing the challenges ahead," he added. (din)**
