This collaboration is poured into
the Stunting Child Fostering Father/Mother program (BAAS). This collaboration was marked by the signing by the Head of the Bandung City DPPKB, Kenny Dewi Kaniasari and the Head of the Bandung City Baznas, Akhmad Roziqin, Wednesday, October 26, 2022.

According to Kenny, the prevalence of stunting in the city of Bandung in 2021 based on SSGI data from the Health Service, there are as many as 26.4 percent of stunting children in the city of Bandung.

In order to achieve the target of reducing prevalence of 14 percent by 2024, the BAAS program can be considered as one of the pentahelix movements to accelerate stunting reduction in the city of Bandung.

"This BAAS program is a program initiated by the BKKBN, and it is recommended that it be implemented in all districts and cities in Indonesia," said Kenny.

Kenny said that the City of Bandung, which has been seriously dealing with the stunting problem, responded to the BAAS program by committing to become one of the partners' gotong royong action movements.

Namely the government, the business world, universities, media, community groups and individuals to eradicate stunting in the form of providing assistance, to improve the nutritional intake of foster children.

"The Bandung Mayor's Circular is being prepared to be circulated to all partners to become foster fathers/mothers of stunting children in the city of Bandung," he said.

He explained that this program was collaborated by the Bandung City Stunting Acceleration Reduction Team (TPPS) with Bandung City Baznas.

Currently, the mechanism for registration and distribution of the BAAS program is being formulated by the two parties, which will then be followed up with socialization.

"This BAAS program can be a movement for all parties in the context of alleviating stunting in the city of Bandung to be able to contribute to preparing the 2045 golden generation," he hoped.**
