"Of course, with the spirit of youth, we can carry out economic recovery after the Covid-19 pandemic. We are doing this together," Yana said.

In order to support the role of youth in economic recovery, the Bandung City Government (Pemkot) provides facilities in the form of coworking space and youth space.

"These two facilities are options for young people in the city of Bandung to help improve our economy together," he said.

Especially with the issue of a recession that will occur in 2023, Yana explained, the Bandung City Government needs help to control inflation so that the value of money is not eroded.

"We also need to increase people's purchasing power, so that the wheels of the economy continue to run. We really need the role of youth in this strategy," he said.

He added that the Bandung City Government will also continue to be present in an effort to empower and develop young people into creative, innovative, collaborative, and independent people.

"Young people must have noble characters that need to be developed so that they are able to face any situation in the future," he hoped.

On the commemoration of the 94th Youth Pledge, in addition to holding a flag ceremony at Bandung City Hall, there were also performances from youths from various ethnicities and cultures.

Some of them are from East Nusa Tenggara, Ambon, Kalimantan, Sumatra and Sulawesi. (din)**
