Bandung City Wins One Data Awards
The city of Bandung won the 2022 Satu Data Jabar Awards as the best city in data management in the Best Data Driven category.
The award was given by the Head of the West Java Province Diskominfo, Ika Mardiah to the Head of the Bandung City Communication and Information Office, Yayan A. Brilyana at the Aston Pasteur Hotel, Friday, October 28, 2022.
After receiving the award, the Head of the Bandung City Discominfo, Yayan A. Brilyana expressed his gratitude for the award.
"Alhamdulillah, the City of Bandung won the award. Although this is not the goal, we should be grateful," said Yayan.
According to Yayan, the Bandung City Government (Pemkot) has been managing data digitally since 2017.
These data are used as the basis for policy making.
Not only that, the public can also access data for various purposes. One of them is for research.
"From the data collected, we open it to the public," he said.
Yayan admitted that he would continue to improve performance and collaboration with other OPDs. This is for more data that can be used by the community.
"The data is integrated from various applications. That's why I urge OPD colleagues to share data. Don't hesitate, we will protect data, because we are data guardians," he said.
Meanwhile, the Regional Secretary of West Java Province, Setiawan Wangsaatmaja, stated that one of the basis for making policy comes from data. Data accuracy leads to useful innovations.
"Let's build accurate data. The data should be accessible so that it can provide services to the community," he said.
He explained that the West Java Provincial Government has various kinds of data. Like the West Java data ecosystem, open data, core data, one data to one map.
"This means that this proves that West Java has accurately recorded data from 27 regencies and cities," he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of the West Java Province Diskominfo, Ika Mardiah, said that the 2022 West Java Data Awards was the first award event held by the West Java Provincial Government.
This award is in order to evaluate the implementation of one Indonesian data in the West Java Provincial Government and City Districts in West Java.
