Congratulations, Five Districts Eligible for Youth in Bandung City!
Five sub-districts in the city of Bandung were awarded as Youth Eligible Districts on the 2022 Youth Eligible Award Night at the Grand Pasundan Hotel, Friday, October 28, 2022 night.
The five districts include:
1. Main Category: Rancasari District
2. Middle Category: Sumur Bandung District and Cibeunying Kidul District
3. Primary Category: Astana New and Cicendo
The Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana, congratulated the five sub-districts for the achievement. According to him, this award is proof of the collaboration between the government at the regional level and the youth.
"About 50 percent of the population of Bandung City are young people aged 16 to 30 years. And as we all know, the government cannot solve problems on its own, so it is necessary to collaborate with youth,” said Yana.
Seeing its potential, Yana is optimistic that collaboration between the government and youth can build the city of Bandung to grow for the better.
Yana also hopes that this event will become an annual tradition that should be maintained, considering that the city of Bandung has won the title of a City Worthy of Youth.
"Once again, I congratulate all the Youth Eligible Districts," he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Bandung City Youth and Sports Service (Dispora), Edy Marwoto said, this activity was aimed at encouraging the spirit of the youth to give birth to many inspirations and great works in the city of Bandung.
"This is one of the steps to give appreciation to the sub-districts that have supported youth activities in the city of Bandung," said Edy.
Meanwhile, Member of Commission D DPRD Bandung City Andri Rusmana appreciated this activity. Andi said, this is the commitment of the City of Bandung to give birth to excellent youth in the future.
He hoped that awards events such as the Youth Worthy District could be held again at the village level.
"It is an honor for me to be present among young people who will become leaders in the future," said Andri.
