Of the 81 health centers in the city of Bandung, as many as 62 health centers already have pharmacist health workers.

"Of the 81 health centers in the city of Bandung, there are 62 health centers that have pharmacist health workers. Hopefully we can help procure the remaining 19 health centers," said Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana at the seminar and conference of the Indonesian Pharmacists Association (IAI) Bandung City, Saturday, October 29, 2022.

According to him, the presence of pharmacists in all health centers in Bandung can provide the right drug needs for the community.

"Pharmacists can provide good and appropriate drugs for the community. This function can only be carried out by pharmacists," he said.

Yana also discussed the other important role of pharmacists in controlling the Covid-19 pandemic in the city of Bandung. Although there are new variants, all figures show that the Covid-19 pandemic is very much under control.

"Hopefully the vaccine effort process that we are doing together can solve the Covid-19 pandemic in the city of Bandung," he hoped.

"Through this consolidation, hopefully IAI can create programs that not only provide benefits for the organization, but also the people of the nation and state," he added.

Meanwhile, Halodoc's Director of Operations and Development, Satrio Pramudono, said technology could increase the competitiveness of pharmacists in pharmaceutical digitization.

"We're not just talking about automation, but building a complete ecosystem so that technology services can be fully enjoyed, such as offline services. For example, appointments, doctor chat services, and health shops," said Satrio.

However, according to him, the use of technology will remain useless if the creativity cannot be easily enjoyed by the wider community. Because innovation is creativity that must be able to have a full impact.

"We must focus on building a digital health ecosystem that provides an easy, comfortable, and seamless experience," he explained.

According to him, it is very felt in this digital era, people have started to enter the curative and preventive areas.

Usually access to the hospital takes a relatively long time, but for people who have not been able to go to the hospital, now it is only less than two minutes before they can connect with a doctor.

"Even with the need for medicine. Usually we can wait more than half an hour. Now we just need to order from home, waiting for the medicine to arrive," he said.

Although now health services have entered the digital world, he emphasized that technology will never replace health care services. Technology only serves as a bridge.

"There is competitiveness through information services that are a necessity in the community. With an electronic prescription system, everything can be more controlled and avoid human errors," he said.

He hopes that by involving technology, health workers, including pharmacists, can be connected as much as possible with health facilities throughout Indonesia.

According to data submitted by Satrio, the average number of drugs in pharmacies is 1,500-2000 items. In fact, the fact is that the number of drugs circulating in all pharmacies in Indonesia can be in the tens of thousands.

So there is a need for collaboration between health facilities to facilitate public health services.

"It will be very difficult for one health facility to carry tens of thousands of drugs, so we must consolidate all of them," he said.

He is also committed, even though he has provided technology-based health services, he still has to listen to the needs of users to make it easier for the community. (din)**
