Cheap markets, MSME bazaars, local band performances, traditional dances, to modern dances graced the highlight of HJKB 212.

One of the parties involved in traditional dance is the United Bandung Women's Forum (FPBB). FPBB's Person in Charge (PIC), Lusiana Balubun said that the preparations she and her team had made to enliven the peak event of HJKB 212 were extraordinary.

"The preparation is extraordinary. Every two days we practice Jaipongan for HJKB 212," said Lusiana.

Not only the Jaipongan dance, there is also the Manuk Dadali dance, and the Wonderful dance. He explained that these three dances were developed from the West Javanese tradition.

"For the jaipong dance, we train young people to appear in HJKB212. As for the Manuk Dadali dance and the Wonderful dance, we developed it ourselves in collaboration with the Nusantara Cinta Budaya Community (CBN)," he explained.

He explained that the Manuk Dadali dance that he performed with CBN had a meaning about how to love his country and feel proud of his homeland. Meanwhile, the Jaipong Gaplek dance performed by young people has a meaning about the happiness of a dancer.

"The manuk dadali dance, although there is no specific movement grip, but its uniqueness lies in the movement that is created by itself," he said.

Even though she is already at the age of 'lolita' or has passed fifty years, Lusiana admits that she is very happy to be collaborating with young people in filling out event after event at HJKB 212.

"They don't distinguish the young group from us who are already lolita. Usually young people are having fun, but here they want to invite us who are seniors," he said.

Of the six CBN seniors who performed dancing, only one was 47 years old. The rest are 'lolita', some even have reached 60 years.

Meanwhile, CBN Public Relations Officer, Maria Prasetyo said, apart from the manuk dadali dance, she and her colleagues also performed the wonderdul dance which was created by themselves.

"This Wonderful Dance tells about the beauty of culture in Indonesia. We combine various movements accompanied by a combination of folk songs," said Maria.

Not just dancing, CBN's presence at the HJKB212 event also aims to re-educate the younger generation about kebaya clothes. Because, according to him, this kebaya is one of Indonesian culture that is often underestimated.

"Kebaya is often identified with 'old-fashioned', too traditional, does not follow the existing fashion. But actually we can create this kebaya in such a way without losing the meaning of the kebaya itself," he added.

Therefore, his party collaborated with FPBB in enlivening HJKB212 to again voice and educate Indonesian culture, especially Sundanese culture to the younger generation.

Because, he admits, this cannot be done alone. It takes synergy with other parties so that the education provided is wider.

"In HJKB 212, we are very happy because we are still involved to be part of the important day of the city of Bandung. Hopefully, Bandung will be more champions, the younger generation will also continue to preserve Indonesian culture, especially Sundanese culture and art," he hoped. (din)**
