Yana: Don't Stop Studying!
The Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana, asked the younger generation of Bandung City not to tire of studying. With knowledge, you can develop yourself and adapt to changing times.
Yana revealed this while attending the 2022 National University of the Republic of Indonesia (UKRI) Graduation event at the Trans Convention Center Bandung, Sunday, October 30, 2022.
"Hopefully we can not only adapt in the current era, but also be able to become pioneers and leaders in the future," he said.
The graduation was attended by 451 UKRI graduates from various faculties and majors.
Yana congratulated all students who finished their education at UKRI and received a bachelor's degree.
He also expressed his gratitude and pride to all the parents of students who supported their children's education until they reached a bachelor's degree.
"Congratulations to the graduates who have completed their education and all parents who support their children's education have helped in efforts to educate the nation's life," he said.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the National Education Foundation of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, said that a nation's success can be achieved if it can master science and technology.
"Only with science and technology can a nation overcome life's challenges," he said in his speech.
He said education is the first step and foundation in looking at the future.
"Congratulations to the graduates who have completed an important stage of learning for the nation's children. This formal education is just the beginning and a good foundation. God willing, we will be steady in managing the future," he said.
He advised the graduates to be optimistic in facing the future. He said the key to a person's success is hard work, innovation and creativity.
With optimism, trust and courage, face the future as a warrior and face it with no hesitation this is the science of life," he said.
"Don't be afraid of difficulties, instead of difficulties will emerge from a strong person," he added.
While the Chancellor of UKRI, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad said, in addition to graduation, on this occasion also UKRI officially inaugurated as many as 684 new students.
"A big thank you to the graduates and new students. This is in our effort to realize the role of foundations in the context of the intellectual life of the nation," he said.
The event was also attended by several figures, namely Members of the Indonesian Parliament, Chair of the West Java DPRD, West Java High Prosecutor's Office, West Java Fokopimda, West Java DPRD Members, Head of Region IV Higher Education Service Institution (LLDIKTI), Bandung City DPRD Member, Ceu Popong, Dada Rosada, as well as other figures.
