Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana said, CFD might be opened if its use is only for sports facilities for residents.

"Now the Covid-19 pandemic is very much under control. However, I hope the CFD is for sports facilities for residents. Don't become a new market center. Don't have too many street vendors if you can," Yana said, Wednesday 2 November 2022.

According to him, if all parties are committed to maintaining the condition of the CFD according to its function for sports and cleanliness as well, CFD will be opened soon.

"Dishub, Police, DLH will also be involved and will help. But it must be for sports facilities," he said.

Yana admitted that initially she would not open CFDs. However, the dynamic pandemic situation makes these policies subject to change at any time.

"At that time we were still worried, but now the fact is that all indicators show that the pandemic in Bandung is relatively under control," he said.

"Citizens also need activities in open public spaces, one of which is CFD. The budget is no longer problematic. As much as Rp. 300 million," he added. (din)**
