Stretching the Cihampelas Terrace, the Community Can Do Activities and Create Exciting Events
The Cihampelas Terrace is squirming again. After going through a series of re-activation processes, the Bandung City Government ensures that this area can be used for the community and MSMEs who sell in the area.
Head of the Non-Formal Business Division of the Bandung City Cooperatives and MSMEs (Diskop UMKM) Evy Oktaviyanti said that currently there are 87 street vendors (PKL) who have signed a re-commitment to return to selling on the Cihampelas Terrace.
The Bandung City Government targets the reactivation process until the end of 2022. This means that by the end of this year, various activities at the Cihampelas Terrace will resume.
"Until December, we will also evaluate and re-check whether these re-committed street vendors are still consistently selling or not," said Evy in Bandung Answering, Tuesday, November 2, 2022.
After the evaluation stage, adjustments will be made for street vendors who do not carry out the recommendations.
"Later on, their stalls will be taken over to be used by our fostered MSME actors," said Evy.
He also made sure that the facilities and infrastructure at the Cihampelas Terrace were in good condition. This includes toilets, prayer rooms, and seating facilities.
Also the glass box, which had been in a damaged condition recently, seems to have been repaired, and was replaced as a seat for visitors.
Evy invites all the people of Bandung to have activities at the Cihampelas Terrace. Currently, the OPD in the Bandung City Government has also implemented it.
“Such as meetings, discussion forums, and evaluations have been carried out there. So, we also invite the public to organize events or visit here. Because, Teras Cihampelas offers culinary delights from top SMEs, as well as a pleasant atmosphere," he explained.
Previously, in a series of reactivation of the Cihampelas Terrace on October 23, 2022, the Secretary of the Bandung City KUKM Service, Rajasa Leadership Berutu conveyed the procedures for using the Cihampelas Terrace for the people of the City of Bandung.
“For people who want to do activities here, it is very welcome. You can submit an application to us. So that we issue recommendations for its use. This is to ensure that the Cihampelas Terrace is used according to its designation and does not conflict between one activity and another," said Rajasa. (ray)**
