gema takbir mulai bersautan dari masjid-masjid di Kota Bandung Selasa 8 November 2022.

The initial lunar eclipse will take place from 16.09 WIB. Then the total start at 17.16 WIB. Mid eclipse 17:59 WIB. The final total is 18.41 WIB. And the end of the eclipse 19.49 WIB.

One of the mosques that held the lunar eclipse prayer was the Nurul 'Izzah Mosque on Jalan Aglaonema Residence, Cisaranten Kulon. The congregation began to arrive one by one to fill this small mosque while takbir continues to be echoed.

After the congregational Maghrib prayer, followed by a short takbir, then the congregational eclipse prayer began at 18.18-18.32 WIB.

The Imam as well as the sermon was conducted by Ustadz Afif Nasrullah. In his sermon, Afif conveyed a hadith narrated by Imam Bukhari

"Indeed, the sun and the moon are two signs of the signs of Allah's greatness, and there will be no eclipse due to someone's death or life. If you see an eclipse, then pray to Allah a lot, perform takbirlah, establish prayer and give charity," said Afif.

He recounted that, in the past, when an eclipse occurred, many Indonesian people beat batons at the kamling post. Believing that Buta Ijo came down to earth so he had to be expelled.

"Women who are heavily pregnant have to crawl under the bed to be safe. Then, the children must be shaved on one side so that their skin is not striped. It is a tradition that Islam straightens out if this eclipse is a sign of God's greatness," he explained.

Through the momentum of this lunar eclipse, he conveyed, the need for society, especially Muslims, to sprinkle the universe that Allah has created remains on its axis. Nothing collides with each other.

"The lunar eclipse is a big phenomenon that cannot be controlled by humans. It must be a moment of contemplation, thinking by us. The objects in the sky prostrate to Allah, when we humans who have reason do not want to prostrate to Allah," he stressed.

Preparations have been made from a few days ago. Rika Wartika, Person in Charge of the Taklim Council of the Nurul 'Izzah Mosque, explained that information regarding congregational eclipse prayers had been disseminated from WA groups to social media.

"We spread posts on WA groups and social media as well. In order to invite many residents to join the eclipse prayer in congregation," Rika explained.

Around 70 worshipers attended the eclipse prayer at this mosque. The administrators also provided free snacks for the worshipers who attended.

After the sermon, the activity continued with the congregational Isha prayer. (din)**
