For this, the Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana, admitted that he was very lost and grieved.

"On behalf of the Bandung City Government and personally, I am sorry to hear that. May all the deeds of worship be accepted by Allah SWT," Yana said, Wednesday, November 9, 2022.

Yana admitted that Kang Tjetje was one of the figures who often gave her thoughts and input.

"Hopefully the family left behind will be strong and given strength," said Yana.

Currently, Tjetje's body is on its way to the funeral home on Jl. Sagittarius No.1.

It should be noted that Tjetje Hidayat Padmadinata was born on June 22, 1933. From a young age he was known as a national activist and politician across the ages, starting from the Old Order, the New Order, and the Reformation.

He continues to speak out to straighten out various power inequalities. In fact, because of his firm attitude, he is often dubbed a 'mahiwal' activist (unique, strange, different from the others).

Tjetje has also been active in writing since 1960 as a writer, columnist, and journalist. His writings are generally related to his commitment to state and political issues, whether local, national, regional, or international.

He is considered a breakthrough figure who preceded his era. As a consequence of his attitude, since 1960 Kang Tjetje had to feel the bitterness of being a political prisoner because he was accused of being a student supporting the National Peace Movement (GPN).

The Indonesian elite recognize Tjetje as a scholar of political science, a multitalented politician, as well as a politician who is firm in maintaining integrity on the basis of noble morality and culture.

On the basis of all that, Tjetje also obtained an Honoris Causa Doctorate in politics from Pasundan University. Until entering his old age, Tjetje remained active even though he did not have any position.

His departure left a deep sorrow for the land of Pasundan. May the late Tjetje get the best place in the side of God Almighty. (din)**
