According to Syahroni, initially the area of RW 11 Tamansari Village was a slum housing that stood on land owned by the Bandung City Government.

Generally, people's houses are small and inhabited by many heads of families.

"Some even live in a 2.5 x 7 meter building on the 3rd floor and are inhabited by 3 to 4 families," said Syahroni to Bandung Public Relations in the Ngariung Podcast, Tuesday, November 8, 2022.

"While on the other hand, there are residents who have big houses and have several houses but only 1 KK. If the land is proprietary land, it doesn't matter, but this is built on land owned by the City Government," he added.

He admitted that he was very welcoming when the Bandung City Government built row houses in the area

"So, when the government came up with the idea of carrying out the construction of the Taman Sari row houses and rearranging the area, we strongly agreed," he said.

Syahroni initially lived in a house measuring 60 square meters and was filled by 4 heads of families

"Alhamdulillah, after a long journey through the pros and cons, now it can be realized. We have hope that our beneficiaries will soon occupy it," he said.

While waiting for the row houses to be completed, residents are currently being given incentives by the Bandung City Government to rent temporary places.

"We were given the flexibility to lease, given Rp26 million per year for 114 tenants. We took the rent in the Tamansari area until the construction process was completed," he said.

Later, after residents will return to row houses, affected residents will get free for 5 years. After 5 years, residents are given a 50 percent discount on the rental fee for row houses.

"God willing, we will guard the Tamansari row house, from the slum area. Residents are happy that their housing is comfortable," he said.

He hoped that residents would be given space for businesses so that they could improve the economy of the affected residents.

"Besides a more decent and healthy place to live, there is also room for business to improve the community's economy," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of RW 12 Tamansari, Yana M. Purakusumah hopes that the process of relocating the residents of Tamansari back to Rumah Deret can run smoothly.

"Indeed there are dynamics that occur, we hope that all problems are resolved, no one is left behind so that the relocation process will run smoothly," he said.

"We from the neighboring RW feel safe and comfortable seeing our neighbors' comfortable physical situation," he added.(rob)**
