Minimizing robbery, Bandung City Government will increase PJU, PJL, and CCTV
To minimize crime, especially robbery, the Bandung City Government (Pemkot) will increase Public Street Lighting (PJU), Environmental Street Lighting (PJL), and Closed Circuit Television (CCTV). For this, the Bandung City Government has prepared a budget of IDR 24 billion.
"In the budget (APBD) we have prepared changes for PJU and PJL as well as for CCTV. Due to the fact the incident (crime) can be recorded on CCTV," said the Mayor of Bandung,
Yana also ensures that the placement of PJU, PJL and CCTV will be adjusted as needed. Not only that, he also ensured that the installation of PJU and PJL would coordinate with all agencies within the Bandung City Government so that the results obtained could be maximized.
"I have summoned the Kadishub and the Parks Service, to coordinate the implementation of PJU and PJL, especially in shady tree areas such as Cipaganti and Setiabudi, indeed many are hindered, but because they are now using LEDs. God willing, it will be good," explained Yana.
Yana admitted that she was very concerned about the crime incident that left two men dead in the city boundary area, Jalan Sudirman, Bandung City, a few days ago.
"I am concerned, I also remind residents to be careful and not to force themselves to go out at night," Yana appealed. (sya)**
