The Promotion of Cheap Food reaped a positive reaction from the residents. Hundreds of residents came to sell various food needs, ranging from red beans, vegetables, rice, chilies and many others.

Juju (48), a resident of the Babakan Ciparay Subdistrict, admitted that he was helped by the holding of this activity.

"The price is much cheaper, there are also lots of fresh harvests here," explained Juju.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Food Security and Agriculture Service (DKKP) Gingin Ginanjar said, this event was held with the aim of increasing people's access to food at affordable prices.

Not only that, the DKPP City of Bandung also invites residents to grow inflation-prone food needs independently at home.

"We will continue to increase urban farming in each region. We will also focus on inviting residents to plant crops that are needed daily to reduce inflation. Such as onions and chilies independently," explained Gin Gin.

Gin Gin ensures that he will hold a massive Cheap Food Festival and Hunt Sae campaign, especially in food insecure areas.

"This is the first step. There are 15 urban villages which are food insecure areas and locus of stunting. We will promote urban farming as a solution to food insecurity," explained Gingin.

Not only the Cheap Food Show, in this event DKKP gave 250 packages of Horticultural Plant seeds to the residents of Babakan Ciparay. This event is DKKP Bandung City in collaboration with DKKP West Java, the National Food Agency and the Department of Trade and Industry of the City of Bandung. (sya)**
