Bandung City Government Sends Dozens of Aid Trucks for Cianjur Earthquake Victims
The types of assistance provided included clothes, blankets, groceries, snacks, sandals, milk, headscarves, children's shoes, suitcases, medicines, toiletries, platoon tents, mineral water and mattresses.
Various types of logistics assistance from the Bandung City Government will be sent using 12 trucks.
Apart from that, there was also assistance in the form of money in the amount of Rp. 845,720,200 from donations from the Bandung City Government ASN and other parties.
The Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana, directly sent off the group that was going to Cianjur at the Bandung City Hall.
"Yes, thank God last week a circular was made to all ASN and non ASN. Within two days, thank God, Rp. 845 million was collected in the form of money and infaq sodaqoh will be handed over today to the Cianjur district government," said Yana when sending off the Bandung City Government assistance team at the Bandung City Hall. Yana hopes that the assistance provided can ease the burden on the people of Cianjur Regency who were hit by the earthquake.
"Hopefully this can ease the suffering of the people affected by the earthquake in Cianjur Regency," said Yana.
This assistance, continued Yana, will be handed over directly to the Cianjur Regency Government on Monday 28 November 2022.
In addition to this assistance, the Bandung City Government had also previously sent ambulances, specialist doctors, general practitioners, nurses, and pharmacists.
The Bandung City Government also sent a Search, Rescue and Evacuation (Rescue) Troop to the Fire and Disaster Management Service (Diskar PB) to assist in the search and evacuation of earthquake victims.
Yana also said that the Bandung City Government would prepare the former Kawaluyaan Hospital in Bandung City as a temporary shelter to accommodate post-surgery earthquake victims at Hospitals in Bandung City.
"In addition to the patient's family, he can accompany him. After recovering and in the area of origin there is already a place to live, then he will return to Cianjur," he said.
Yana advised the volunteers who have struggled to help the victims to maintain their health in the midst of their duties.
