Evidently, currently there are 3,822 goods and services with a total of 248 providers in the Bandung City goods and services procurement catalog.

Starting from vehicle servicing, food and beverages, management services, souvenirs and so on.

The city of Bandung is also included in the top 10 Local Government Local Catalog Organizations with the largest transaction value of IDR 137.1 billion.

"I hope that the procurement of goods and services can play a role in creating added value and benefits for the city of Bandung by prioritizing the use of domestic products over imported products," said Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana at the Bandung City Level Goods and Services Procurement Coordination Meeting, Tuesday November 29, 2022, at the Grand Preanger Hotel.

According to Yana, the procurement of goods and services within the government is one of the important drivers of economic growth in the city of Bandung.

Therefore, the work unit for the procurement of goods and services must have a strategic, collaborative and proactive character so that it becomes a driver of successful development in the city of Bandung.

This, continued Yana, is in accordance with the instruction of the president of the republic of Indonesia number 2 of 2022 concerning the Acceleration of Increasing the Use of Domestic Products and Products of Micro, Small Enterprises and Cooperatives.

All of this, said Yana, was also in the context of the success of the proud national movement made in Indonesia in the implementation of government procurement of goods and services.

"It must be realized that the use of Domestic Products (PDN) in the procurement of government goods and services is an effort to drive the growth and empowerment of the domestic industry," he said.

According to him, NOP is able to increase added value, absorb labor.

"Shopping for local products can certainly increase the growth of MSMEs in the city of Bandung," he said.

He gave an example, when providing assistance for the earthquake disaster for Cianjur residents, civil servants were asked to collect donations. The result is spent on various types of assistance whose goods are local products.

"Yesterday my policy was that the money from the donations was spent on MSMEs. So that the money earned from residents was returned to the community through these MSMEs," he said.

In a different place, the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo, in a national coordination meeting on goods and services emphasized to regional leaders to include local products in the e-catalogs of each region.

"I asked governors, regents, mayors as well as regional secretaries, the most important thing is how local products that are superior can immediately enter the local catalog, this must be done soon," he said.

He said that the local government is still lacking in including its local catalog.

"There are only 46 regional governments from 514 urban districts in 34 provinces. Even though the conditions for building this are not like before, they are complicated. Now they are very simple," he said. (yan)**
