For this reason, at the commemoration of International Day of Disabilities (HDI) at the Bandung City Level in 2022 an MoU was signed between the Bandung City Government and Kadin to provide opportunities for people with disabilities to work at the Bandung City Hall, Saturday 3 December 2022.

The Head of the Bandung City Social Service, Soni Bakhtiyar said, apart from signing the MoU, a joint declaration was also held on fulfilling the rights of persons with disabilities in the pentahelix collaboration between OPD, the public, academics, media, companies and other stakeholders.

"The joint signing will make the city of Bandung inclusive of disabilities," he said.

Currently, persons with disabilities are also given space to be actively involved in the provision of government goods and services.

"There are providers of service goods that have appeared from friends with disabilities who have entered the e-catalog of the City of Bandung," he said.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Bandung City Kadin, Iwa Kartiwa, admitted that he continues to encourage employers to comply with the mandate of law number 8 of 2016 to provide one percent of the total number of workers for disabilities.

"We will continue to support all employers to comply more with the law. In the city of Bandung now there are many employers who have employed people with disabilities, some even have 2-4 percent," he said.

In addition, Iwa appreciates the many MSMEs with disabilities who have entered into the provision of goods and services through e-catalogs.

In the future, continued Iwa, entrepreneurs who provide goods and services through e-catalogs must first become members of Kadin.

For this reason, Bandung City Chamber of Commerce and Industry will provide free membership for persons with disabilities.

"One of the conditions for participating in the tender is to become a member first, we will do it for free," he said.

As a form of seriousness, at the commemoration of the Bandung City Level International Day of Disabilities (HDI) in 2022, the Bandung City Kadin also declared the protection and fulfillment of disability rights.

The following is the contents of the declaration:

1. Provide employment opportunities of at least 1 (one) percent for persons with disabilities from the needs of employees or workers;
