This was done as a step to anticipate and minimize crime and as a movement to provide a sense of security and comfort in accordance with the directions of the Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana.

Siskamling has been carried out simultaneously in 151 urban villages and 30 sub-districts in the city of Bandung since January 13, 2023.

The head of the Bandung City sub-district head association, Gratitude Sabar, said the sub-district heads deployed Community Protection (linmas) members in each area to hold siskamling.

The community also works together to carry out siskamling down to the smallest streets such as alleys.

"We patrol a lot of areas in alleys, the point is that each area must be monitored," he said.

For the number of personnel, each district and urban village is different. Districts as many as 10 people, for sub-districts as many as 4-5 people.

"We also encourage residents to play a role with linmas as well as the ranks of Forkopimcam (District Leadership Communication Forum)," he said.

Gratitude also ensures that the regional apparatus continues to collaborate with Bhabinkamtibnas and Babinsa in maintaining security.

"It's still running, so siskamling is running including activities with the TNI and Polri," he said

Previously, Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana appealed to residents to jointly maintain security and public order in the city of Bandung.

He instructed Satpol PP and Transportation Agency to routinely conduct patrols. As for the territorial apparatus, Yana asked for the siskamling to be reactivated

“Keep safe. For regional parties, activate siskamling again. In the government realm, we ask the Transportation Agency, Satpol PP to routinely carry out operations," said Yana. (rob)**
