Exciting! Learn Waste Management at Kang Pisman School

Since it was officially opened to the public on August 11 2022, the Kang Pisman School (reduce, separate and make use of it) in Kebon Lega Village, Bojongloa Kidul District, Bandung City has been visited by many students, university students, and the public.

This school was opened as a means of education or training on waste management, which is intended for Bandung City residents. However, this school also opens opportunities for residents of other cities who wish to study waste management.

One of them, Rahmaningtyas Aprilian Hakim (15), a student at SMAN 7 Bandung, along with 35 other students, visited the Kang Pisman School to study household waste management and environmental preservation.

At Kang Pisman School, students are taught various types of waste processing, such as bio-digester, laying hens, BSF maggot, biofloc native chicken (catfish pond), composter drum, terawang brick, Loseda (Lodong Sesa Kitchen), waste to food area, classroom , waste bank, and gallery.

"We learn how to process inorganic waste into chairs, bags and others. We are excited about processing inorganic waste into various useful items for our daily lives," he said, Friday, February 3, 2023.

In line with Rahmaningtyas, Muhamad Hildan (15) admitted that he was very enthusiastic about various materials related to waste management.

He stated that he would apply the knowledge he got at home and at school.

"It will be applied at home. For friends, let's practice recycling of organic and inorganic waste. Also, we will sort out the waste ourselves," he said.

Meanwhile, a teacher at SMAN 7 Bandung, Neneng Fenti, said the visit to Kang Pisman School was to improve the quality of education and implement the independent curriculum through the Pancasila student profile project.

"Hopefully with them learning various ways of processing waste. The students can become agents to spread it to their other friends," he said.

Meanwhile, Head of the Garbage Reduction Section for Waste Management and B3 DLH Bandung City, Syahriani said, since it was inaugurated until January 2023, Kang Pisman School has been visited by more than 900 visitors from various backgrounds.

"Since the inauguration of the Kang Pisman School, we have conducted outreach to various agencies, starting from schools, universities, to the community," said Syahriani.

For those who wish to visit, Kang Pisman School is open every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 09.00-11.00 WIB for the morning session and 13.00-15.00 WIB for the afternoon session. (rob)**
