Pick Up the Ball, Bandung City Disdukcapil Serves ID Digital Registration

The digital ID registration service is held by pick-up and drop-off via Mepeling (Mobile Service Car). The IKD service is planned to start from 6-21 March 2023.

Widi Munajat, Young Expert Policy Analyst for Population Administration Sub-core, said that the implementation of the IKD is based on meeting the community's needs for adequate and integrated administrative services.

"With this IKD, we hope to reduce the use of paper and facilitate services that previously photocopied, in the future will be barcodes," he explained.

Widi then explained that digital ID registration services would be scheduled starting from employees within the Bandung City Government, academics, to the general public.

"According to the letter, the regional secretary will be on standby at the city hall from March 6-10 to cover employees in the city hall environment. Then after March 10, it will be divided into all employees in all OPD until March 21. Then in the future it will target academics to the general public," he explained.

Widi also invited employees within the Bandung City Government to work together to make Digital Population Identity successful for data security, authorization and public verification to be more secure.

In the digital Population Identity there are six types of cards that can be integrated into one in the mobile application, namely KTP, KK, NPWP, Vaccine Card, Permanent Voter Card for the 2024 Election, and BKN (State Civil Service Agency).

For information, IKD is electronic information that is used to represent population documents and return data in digital applications through devices, which displays personal data as the identity concerned.

This has been regulated in Permendagri Number 72 of 2022 concerning Standards and Specifications for Hardware, Software, and Electronic Identity Card Forms, as well as Implementation of Digital Population Identity.

In making an IKD, the community only needs to prepare three requirements, namely an electronic KTP, an Android cell phone version 5 and above, and an active email. The process of making a Digital Population Identity must be carried out by the Bandung City Disdukcapil Office as well as the Bandung City Public Service Mall and the Bandung City Mepeling Mobile Service Car (Mepeling).
