Realizing Human Resources with Morals, the City Government Returns the Title of the City of Bandung Koran
For every Muslim, reciting the Qur'an is a form of worship in an effort to increase faith and piety to Allah SWT. For this, the Bandung City Government (Pemkot) is again holding the Bandung City Koran activity in 2023.
Previously, the program had been held face-to-face in 2018. However, during the Covid-19 pandemic, activities were carried out online.
"This activity for the City of Bandung Koran has been running since 2018. But in the midst of a pandemic it is not possible in person, so activities in 2020 will become tadarus through online," said the Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana at the Opening Event for the City of Bandung Koran, at Masjid Al Ukhuwah, Jalan Wastukancana, Wednesday 15 February 2023.
According to Yana, tadarus of the Qur'an is a manifestation of obedience to religious teachings and a great love for kalamullah, as a source of teachings.
"Alhamdulillah, today we can restart the activities of the City of Bandung reciting face-to-face. This activity can increase faith, of course, apart from reading, we are able to practice what is contained in the Al-Qur'an," said Yana.
"By reading the Koran regularly, God willing, we will get a lot of good. Let's make this activity a tradition and continue," he added.
Meanwhile, Assistant for Government and Public Welfare of the City of Bandung, Asep Gufron explained, the Bandung City Government is obliged to guide its apparatus. Including coaching so that employees are more religious.
"In 2023, according to the direction of the Mayor of Bandung, there will be two coaching activities for the City of Bandung to recite the Koran. Among them are public lectures and recitation of the Qur'an," he said.
He said face-to-face public lectures were held every Wednesday, the first and third Sunday at 07.30-08.30 WIB. Tadarus is held virtually through the Zoom Meeting application, on Wednesday, the second and fourth weeks.
Meanwhile, coaching for non-Muslims is planned to begin in March 2023.
"In addition to fostering Muslim ASNs, we will facilitate non-Muslim ASNs in early March 2023," he said.(yan)**
