"We have never been anti-investment, including investing in advertising. However, billboards should be city accessories and not become visual waste," said Ema on the sidelines of visiting a number of areas in the city of Bandung, Friday, March 3.

According to Ema, the mandate of the Law on billboards can be applied in the city of Bandung for the city's layout and aesthetics.

"We want there to be no billboards on the road. Because the law states that no one can cross the road," explained Ema.

"In the space that belongs to the road (rumija) there can be no piles. It must be in government plots or in individual plots, and even if it is permitted. Nothing can cross into rumija. If that can be implemented, this city will be better," he said .

Ema said that billboards really need a strong commitment from stakeholders for the peace and order of the general public and the aesthetics of the city.

"This city is a design city that is recognized by UNESCO. For that, everything is done 'by design' and we need a strong commitment to jointly protect this city," said Ema.

As a form of seriousness, the Bandung City Government has formed a Advertising Task Force that will carry out supervision from upstream to downstream.

The advertising task force consists of various regional apparatus organizations (OPD). It consists of four fields, namely data collection and assessment, supervision and control, complaints and reports and control.

Not only about billboards, Ema also monitors parks and the process of improving aerial cables.(sya)**
