Bandung City Government Declares Commitment to Bureaucratic Reform Performance

The Bandung City Government (Pemkot) continues to be committed to improving performance for public services. This commitment was stated in a declaration read by all heads of Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) as well as sub-district heads as regional leaders.

This declaration aims to lead to bureaucratic reform A, Government Agencies Performance Accountability System (SAKIP) AA, excellent public service delivery, and a very high level of maturity of regional apparatus organizations.

The Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana said, the declaration showed proof of the commitment of the Bandung City Government leadership to maintain better performance, carry out continuous improvements so that the community was satisfied with the government's performance.
 
"We are determined to speed up the completion of development by completing the achievement of the vision and mission in the RPJMD (Regional Medium Term Development Plan), as well as fulfilling political promises to the community," said Yana at the Performance Commitment Declaration event, at the Horison Hotel, Tuesday, March 7, 2023.

Yana reminded that this declaration was not merely ceremonial. All leaders who have signed a commitment must continue to innovate and listen to the needs of the community.

"This commitment must be implemented in a consistent and coordinated manner. This commitment must be supported by a spirit of collaboration and a culture of ASN performance that serves. So that it has an impact on improving people's welfare," he explained.

In the same place, Assistant for General Administration, Tono Rusdiantono explained, bureaucratic reform is meaningful as a major change in the paradigm and governance of the Indonesian government.

Bureaucratic reform is an ongoing effort in which each stage provides changes or improvements to the bureaucracy.

He explained that several indicators of bureaucratic reform were based on the Corruption Perceptions Index (IPK), the opinion of the Financial Audit Agency (BPK) on financial reports and the Electronic-Based Government System (SPBE).

"The strategic issue of bureaucratic reform of the Bandung City Government is contained in the Bandung City RPJMD 2019-2023 in the second mission, namely to realize governance that serves, is effective, efficient and clean," he said.

During this activity, a declaration was also read by the Regional Secretary of the City of Bandung, Ema Sumarna.
