The City Government of Bandung Ensures that the Lowering of Air Cables on Jalan Riau Continues to Process
Regional Secretary of the City of Bandung, Ema Sumarna said, the process of transferring fiber optic cable (FO) from the air to the ground or ducting in the area of Jalan L.L.R.E Martadinata (Jalan Riau) is still ongoing.
He stated that the Bandung City Government would coordinate with telecommunications service operators so that the transfer of cables in the area would be realized within the next week.
"On Tuesday we will coordinate again. So, if the mainhole is ready, the cables must be moved down immediately," said Ema after inspecting the Jalan Riau area, Friday, March 17, 2023.
The Bandung City Government is targeting, until the first quarter of 2023, the ducting process along Jalan Riau can be realized soon. At least from the intersection of Jalan Ir. H. Djuanda (Dago) to the intersection of Jalan Banda.
"It takes extraordinary effort. We are targeting that by 2023 the ducting on Jalan Riau will have been completed," he said.
For information, the Bandung City Government has a target of lowering aerial cables on 13 roads, including: Jalan Ir. H. Djuanda (Dago), L.L.R.E Martadinata (Riau), Sudirman, Wastukancana, Purnawarman, Sumatra, Cibaduyut, Otista and also Jalan Soekarno Hatta.
In 2022, the cable on the Jalan Dago section has been successfully lowered. Following in 2023 on Jalan Riau.
"Hopefully, we can finish the ducting process, so we can enjoy the beauty of the city of Bandung and also aesthetically this is very supportive," said Ema.(ray)**
