Carrying the theme "Creative Economy Recovered and Empowered, Bandung Wins!" Gerobak Fair does not only present MSME products such as culinary, fashion and crafts. Art in the form of dance from West Papua to socialization regarding family planning, stunting and health programs were mixed in this event.

The Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana really appreciated this activity. According to him, MSMEs are the group that is most resistant to economic crises during pandemics and recessions.

"The municipal government always encourages citizens to be creative. That's why we support it with halal certificates and free PIRT. Residents just need to innovate and be creative," said Yana.

He even hopes that this Cart Fair can bring out superior MSME seeds which will later be curated so they can enter the Creative Market.

"Hopefully the MSMEs can upgrade. Later we will help them to enter the Creative Market. Hopefully our efforts can improve the people's economy for the better," he hoped.

Meanwhile, the Assistant for Economic Affairs and Development for the City of Bandung, Eric M Atthauriq said, the Gerobak Fair was an activity carried out by the regional apparatus directly. They gather MSME actors in RT and RW- to market their products.

"This is a good thing. This activity is planned to run every month and alternate in each sub-district," said Eric.

He revealed that it was not only the people who participated, but also regional apparatuses and BUMDs who contributed.

According to him, this is a provision to jointly drive the wheels of the economy in the city of Bandung and as an effort to control inflation.

"The regional role here is also active in carrying out synergy and collaboration. This is a good initiative and hopefully it can develop and continue to be sustainable," he said.

Meanwhile, the Batununggal sub-district head, Latief explained, the Gerobak Fair had been held twice in his area. This activity is a tourist icon in Batununggal District.

"This is one of the efforts to restore the economy in the city of Bandung. Apart from that, the aim is also to increase synergy between the government and the business world," said Latief.

In line with Latief, the Chief Executive of the Gerobak Fair, Sri Rahayu Agustin said, with the Gerobak Fair, local potential could be revived. Not only in culinary, but also in the arts.

"Previously we held it in the Kebon Gedang Sub-District. For today, 40 MSMEs took part in the Cibangkong Sub-District," said Sri. (din)**
