In commemoration of May Day, the Manpower Office and Communication Forum of Workers' Unions Hold Social Services

Still in the series of commemorating the May Day 2023 activities, the Department of Manpower and the Bandung City Trade Union Communication Forum held a social service by distributing basic food packages and cash to orphans.

The assistance was handed over directly by the Head of the Bandung City Manpower Office, Andri Darusman together with the Chair of the Trade Union Communication Forum, Hermawan and the Chairperson of the Bandung City Apindo, Ahmad Kosim at the Bandung City Manpower Office, Friday 12 May 2023.

Head of the Manpower Office, Andri Darusman said, this social service activity is a series of May Day activities which are always carried out every year.

Apart from that, said Andri, various positive activities were also held such as blood donation and other social activities.

To strengthen friendship with various stakeholders, the Manpower Office also held an outbound with the Trade Union Communication Forum at Ciwidey, Bandung Regency, Friday-Saturday, May 12-13 2023.

He said, with the synergy that was built between employers, workers and the government could build a conducive investment in the city of Bandung.

"Investment in the city of Bandung cannot be separated from the collaboration of all employers, workers and the government," he said.

Andri hopes that the commemoration of May Day can build togetherness so that it has an impact on increasing company productivity which ultimately improves workers' welfare.

"Hopefully this activity will benefit us all," he said.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the Communication Forum for Trade Unions, Hermawan, said that the relationship between workers, employers and the government in the city of Bandung has been going very well.

"Our communication and coordination are always open to everyone. We continue to maintain good communication with the Kadisnaker to find solutions to various problems," he said.

In the same place, the Chairman of the Indonesian Employers' Association (Apindo) for the City of Bandung, Ahmad Kosim appreciated the various May Day commemoration activities.

"We provide the maximum support, on this occasion we also support," he said.

"Apindo can continue to collaborate with trade unions and the government. Hopefully all workers will continue to work together with enthusiasm," he added. (rob)**
