Bandung City Government is Committed to Improving Public Information Disclosure Services
The Bandung City Government (Pemkot) continues to be committed to guaranteeing citizens' rights to obtain information relating to the public interest and realizing transparent, effective and accountable state administration.
For this reason, the disclosure of information requires the widest possible commitment and involvement of PPID Assistants and Sub Assistants of Education Work Units as state administrators.
Therefore, the Bandung City Communication and Informatics Service as the Main PPID conducted online monitoring and evaluation of the implementation of information disclosure in the Bandung City area, Tuesday 16 May 2023.
"In this era of openness, we cannot play games with public services, especially information services and public complaints," said the Head of the Communication and Informatics Service, Yayan A. Brilyana when opening the KIP monev and SP4N Lapor.
According to Yayan, this Monev was carried out to accommodate an assessment of the extent to which information services were carried out by PPID Assistants and Sub-Assistant Work Units in their activeness and responsiveness in serving residents.
Regarding public complaints, Yayan said that resolving public complaints was a priority for the Bandung City Government.
"Every Sunday I submit a report on public complaints to the leadership. Which ones have been completed and which ones have not. This should be a concern for us all," he said.
Yayan hopes that through monitoring and evaluation an inventory of obstacles and potentials that can be optimized in public information services can be inventoried.
"The monitoring and evaluation process is important to be carried out to see the conditions of implementation, socialization, implementation of procedures, quality, and the rate of follow-up of public complaints within the Bandung City Government as a form of our commitment to service to the community," he said.
For information, independent monitoring and evaluation activities are carried out once every two years to find out how far the implementation of public information disclosure is in PPID assistants and Sub PPID assistants. (rob)**
