Chairman of the Special Committee (Pansus) 4,
Yoel Yosaphat explained, Advancement of Culture includes oral traditions, customs, traditional knowledge, traditional technology, arts, languages, traditional sports, folk games, manuscripts, rites, and cultural heritage.

"Advancing culture can start from the village and sub-district levels. Especially in the era of openness, the flow of information that enters Indonesia cannot be avoided, but how do we maintain culture in the city of Bandung," said Yoel during a plenary meeting at the Bandung City DPRD, Friday 19 May 2023 .

With the existence of this regional regulation, it is hoped that it will become a stronghold for the city of Bandung to preserve culture and be able to advance Sundanese culture to an international level.

"The systematic preparation of the regional regulation on the promotion of culture consists of 11 chapters and 27 articles," he said.

Meanwhile, the second Raperda that has been ratified is about Ease, Empowerment, Development, Supervision and Protection of Cooperatives and Micro Enterprises.

Chairman of the Special Committee 7, Iwan Hermawan, is optimistic that this regional regulation can protect, supervise and support cooperative activities.

"The Bandung City Government needs to immediately integrate data on business actors who are fostered by regional apparatus organizations and stakeholders and carry out synergy of programs and activities between regional apparatus organizations for the facilitation and development of cooperatives and micro-enterprises," said Iwan.

In addition, he appealed to the Bandung City Government to immediately follow up on the regional regulation and carry out ongoing socialization through related agencies.

Responding to the two draft regulations, Acting Mayor of Bandung, Ema Sumarna said that regarding the draft regulations on the promotion of culture, the city of Bandung is a city that is very open and has a plural culture. This is the implementation of diversity.

"Through this regulation we have the opportunity to carry out a more appropriate development and coaching strategy, so that Bandung always adapts to current conditions. Together we will advance to civilization in the future," hoped Ema.

Then for the draft regulation on the ease of empowerment, development, supervision, and protection of cooperatives and micro-enterprises, according to him, the potential for active cooperatives has not significantly increased both qualitatively and quantitatively in the city of Bandung.

"There are around 700 cooperatives that are still active. If cooperatives don't adapt quickly, of course this will be an economic challenge for us," he said.

Therefore, he hopes that the existence of this regional regulation can make cooperatives in the city of Bandung able to provide support for the dynamics and economic growth of the city of Bandung for the better.

"Bandung City's economic growth rate (LPE) is 5.41 percent. This has exceeded whatever we have targeted. You can see what has been stated in our RPJMD and the 2022 RKPD which have been agreed upon," he added. (din)**
