"National Awakening is interpreted as a momentum to continue to close ranks, to unite and unite," said Ema at the Commemoration of National Awakening Day at the Bandung City level, Monday, May 22, 2023.

He also invited, as a society to continue to support the government as well as to do better development.

"The point is to continue to carry out development, this is a reflection of the founders of the republic. We are content with development which is the authority of each one," he said.

Ema hopes that all elements of the nation work hand in hand in collaborating in implementing the values of unity as well as oneness in realizing the revival of the nation.

"From various global crises, both health, economic, and even geopolitics. Central Statistics Agency (BPS) data shows that Indonesia's economy in 2022 was recorded to grow 5.31% (Year-On-Year / YOY), much higher than the growth in in 2021 by 3.70% (YOY) and even exceeded the growth achievement before the pandemic in 2019," said Ema when reading the Menkominfo's remarks, at the Bandung City Hall, Monday 22 May 2023.

He said, Indonesia's economic growth in the first quarter of 2023 was still recorded as growing by 5.03% (YOY). This shows better performance than the fourth quarter of 2022 which grew by 5.01% (YOY).

"Of course we hope that these achievements can be maintained and continuously improved for the welfare of society and the progress of the Indonesian nation," he said.

Apart from celebrating the various achievements of the Indonesian people, continued Ema, the National Awakening Day is also interpreted as giving thanks for all steps of progress, improvement, or even lessons learned from our struggles.
 
"Indonesia's awakening in the midst of a world crisis has also been demonstrated through its progress in various international forums. The world has witnessed Indonesia's expertise in leading forums consisting of 20 countries/regional entities with the largest economic power, namely the G20," he said.

"Indonesia's G20 presidency in 2022 is increasingly carrying the name of the motherland in encouraging enthusiasm to rise to the world level with the theme 'Recover Together, Recover Stronger'," added Ema.(yan)**
