Plh Mayor of Bandung Encourages Hipmi to Expand Jobs

Acting Mayor of Bandung, Ema Sumarna hopes that entrepreneurs who are members of the Bandung City Young Entrepreneurs Association (Hipmi) can progress further. Thus, it can bring jobs in the city of Bandung.

"Our unemployment rate is decreasing, from 11 percent to 9 percent, the gap is decreasing. If it is suppressed, purchasing power will improve. So that we are able to bring prosperity," said Ema at the inauguration of the Bandung City Hipmi Board, at the Bandung City Hall, Tuesday 23 May 2023.

"We hope this will make a good contribution. Because entrepreneurs are strategic partners of the government, fighting for an economy that can provide expanded employment opportunities," he said

Ema said the Bandung City Government routinely holds job fairs. This is a forum for the community to find out job vacancies according to capacity.

"We continue to optimize it, the Manpower Office (Manpower Office) is the leading sector. The name of the job fair is an annual program of activities, we continue to encourage it. There (the job market) there is information according to capacity and ability," he said.

He also hopes that the presence of youth organizations engaged in entrepreneurship can reduce poverty and increase purchasing power.

"We hope that the poverty rate will decrease, people's purchasing power will increase. If it is under control, inflation will decrease, this is the group that supports the welfare that we are both creating," he said.

For that too, Ema ensured that the Bandung City Government was committed to collaboration for the welfare of the community.

Meanwhile, the General Chairperson of Hipmi City of Bandung, Ibrahim Imaduddin is committed to synergizing with the government to improve the economy to employment.

"We are committed to assisting entrepreneurs in the city of Bandung for the economy to rise so that entrepreneurs are able to create large employment opportunities," he said.

"Certainly we as city stakeholders are expected to be able to open up a lot of jobs," he added.

He revealed that there were 138 members of the Hipmi City of Bandung who were inaugurated for the 2022-2025 period.

"Hipmi has 300 members, the majority domicile in the city of Bandung. Their businesses are in Bandung as well as outside Bandung," he said.

Meanwhile, the Chairperson of the Bandung City DPRD, Tedy Rusmawan, said that a sign of economic revival in the City of Bandung is the many contributions of all stakeholders.

"Signs of economic revival in the city of Bandung have contributed a lot from various parties," he said.

He hoped that Hipmi would be able to provide benefits to society. From entrepreneurship to employment.
