Baznas and Bandung City Government Distribute Phase III Compensation to Orphans and the Elderly
The National Zakat Amil Agency (Baznas) and the Bandung City Government (Pemkot) distributed routine assistance to the elderly and poor orphans in phase III for the September - December period in Regol District, Bandung City, Friday 17 November 2023. This assistance is part of the Bandung Cares Baznas Bandung City program.
Regol District Secretary Eulis Robbijah said that there were 85 beneficiaries who received assistance. They are 18 poor orphans and 67 elderly people.
"Thank God, today, the Bandung City Baznas distributed routine donations from zakat funds collected from environmental muzaki of the Bandung City Government to the beneficiaries," said Eulis
The assistance provided for 1 year is divided into 4 periods. For the elderly, the compensation given is IDR 200,000 for 4 months or IDR 800,000. Meanwhile, for orphans, the amount is IDR 150,000 x 4 months = IDR 600,000
"We express our gratitude for the attention given by the Bandung City Government through Baznas. "This is phase III assistance provided," he said.
Eulis hopes that this donation can provide benefits and blessings for everyone.
One of the elderly recipients of compensation, Siti Rokayah, a resident of Regol District, admitted that she was happy with the routine assistance provided.
"Alhamdulillah, happy, happy, very helpful. Hopefully Baznas and the Bandung City Government can continue to provide the best for the community and continue to run smoothly in every matter," said Siti. (rer)**
